I bought this book a few moths ago...it's just been recently released. The author Hugh Shankland was Professor of Italian studies at Durham University.
It's based on Italian immigrants in the North East of England..well worth na read!

A very informative book and well worth reading for its comprehensive, historic story of Italians in the UK - and, bearing in mind how much our Italian ancestors "got about", not just for those whose families ended up in the North East of England.
