Reposting my interest in the Riozzi Family from Picinisco. Michel has of course given me lots of information on the family and I did find the small hamlet near Picinsico last year as well as a house which the locals referred to as "the Riozzi House". I intend going back for another visit in 2006. My great great grandfather Francesco came to the UK about 1860 and first settled in Birmingham before moving to Liverpool. The family ran a street organ business and also an ice cream shop in Bolton for a while. A number of Riozzi still live in Liverpool.

My great grandmother's mother.... if youknow what I mean..... her maiden name was Riozzi. Her first name was Maria. She married angelo De Marco a farmer. some how their daughter Lucia ended up in Glasgow. does this mean anything to anyone Question

Can you give me any further details such as a what year she was born (approx). or where she came from in Italy. It is possible that she is related to my Riozzi from Picinsico but there are others from nearby Atina.

I know from her passport that she was born in London. I think about 1873. She married Carmine Boni in Glasgow in 1893.
