I am looking to find out more about my great grandparents. My great grandmother above was married on June 30th in Glasgow in 1905 after coming from Italy but not sure when. She married Cesido di Marco from Filigniano we think. Any information would be appreciated.

Not sure if you have checked the Scotland's People site. If not, the records show that they were married on 13th June 1905.

Both living at 86 Dundas Street, Glasgow.

Maria's parents are Gaetano Pelosi and Giacinto Valvona.
Cesidio's parents are Gerardo Di Marco and Palmina Coia

No details are given on where in Italy they came from.

If Cesidio came from Selvone, Filignano there are links to the village of San Giuseppe in Picinisco. Circa 1800 several families left San Giuseppe to live in Selvone, Filignano.
Di Marco and Coia are some names of the families which also included some of my ancestors.

Thanks for your reply & I've sent you an email too. Your site is very informative & I'll try to look through it in detail.

Additional information I have found out about my great grandfather - Cesidio Di Marco - although it became DeMarco on the register - is that he died on 25th February 1918 aged 34.

We had no information on the parents of either so thank you for that. The photos of the area in Italy look very beautiful but very remote. It would be good to visit to see if there are any remaining descendants.
