| Sorry to botheryou but I am looking for information on my Grandmother's father Guiseppe Palombo 1843(Italy) - 1895(Glasgow) who fought in the Garibaldi / Papal war around 1868 ( not sure which side just that he was an officer) --he was subsequently deported to Cardiff in Wales along with his wife Serafina Gizzi and daughter Maria Domenica Palombo ( my G'mother born 26/9/1867) and son Loreto Palombo( born around 1866)--Serafina died in Swansea Fever hospital aged 30 in1874 when Guiseppe was not in Wales with them( ?? back fighting in Italy). The 2 children were then sent back to Villa Latina in Frosinone (?when ) Maria subsequently married Lorenzo Marcantonio from Picinisco on 18/05/1889 and then immigrated to Scotland (they had 16 children 5 boys and 11 girls --of which 2 boys and 7 girls survived ) ? Can you help?. |
