My ancestors are mainly from Filignano, but I've got a couple of people in my family tree that were born in Picinisco:

Francesco COIA (son of Silvestro), born circa 1750 in San Giuseppe di Picinisco, died 23 Apr 1844 in Filignano.
Married: Mattia VALENTE (died 10 Oct 1800), Annunziata ARCARO (died after Francesco).
Children (born): Cosmo (1780), Maddalena (1779), Lorenzo (1790)

Francesca ARCARO (daughter of Leonardo and Paulina PESCIA), born circa 1775 in San Giuseppe di Picinisco, died 30 Aug 1827 in Montaquila.
Married: Cosmo COIA (died 13 Jul 1819, Filignano), Celestino STAFFIERI (married 19 Dec 1823)
Children with Cosmo (born): Simone Isidoro and Mattia (1814), Magnifica (1811)

Giuseppe ARCARI (son of Michele and Giulia DI BONA), born in Picinisco circa 1858
Married: Marianna VERRECCHIA (died 10 Nov 1858) on 24 Oct 1885
Children (born): Maria Carolina (1892), Filomena and Erminia (1891)

Two different sets of twins in the above (1814 and 1891 births)!

Does anyone have any connections with these people?

Cosimo Coia born c 1750 married Rosa Rossi born c 1752.

their daughter Maria Coia born 28/02/1771 married Carlo Antonio Margiotta 2/10/1794

I have to me also COIA of filignano and san giuseppe but I do not have unfortunately many information I know simply: COIA Catarina X 1708 PICINISCO with CAPALDI Giuseppe (information Michel VACCA) And COIA Francesca X 1841 FILIGNANO with CAPALDI Nicandro I do not know if they are parents between them Tell me more Michel

Luigi Coia b 1785 married Giuseppa Gizzi b 1785 their son Antonio Coia b 1813 married Irene Capaldi b 1816 daughter of Giuseppe Capaldi b 1786 and Maria Boni b 1789

Luigi Boni b 1790 married Fortunata Arcari b 1790 daughter Maria Boni b 1820

Also Luigi Boni 1765, Maria Boni 1789, Magnifica Boni 1787 and Francesco Boni 1740

Do any of these names fit into your family ancestors?

This is an old post but I have just joined and the following information may be useful.

My great grandmother is the Maria Carolina ARCARI (1892) listed in Aldo's post. Daughter of Guiseppe ARCARI and Marianna VERRECCHIA.

This part of the family are still mostly in Scotland around the Glasgow area.

I am currently doing more research however what I have discovered is that the twins (Filomena and Erminia) sadly died young in Glasgow.

Maria Carolina also had an older sister Guilia (1879 born in Italy) and a brother Loreto (1886 born in Scotland).

Maria Carolina ARCARI married Antonio GIULIANI in Scotland and had my grandmother Amelia Rosa (born 1920, died 2006), Antonio Junior and Maria Angela (Known as Marianne). Marianne died aged about 18 from TB. I have other cousins from Antonio junior's line and also (I think) from Loreto.Will post more if anyone is interested.
