I am a little confused. Do you mean that Gerado came to Picinisco to marry in 1822 or he was born in 1822? I am sorry to ask again but who was married to Loreta Palma Arcari?

As far as I understand Gerado Di Troia married Fortunato Pompei and had a child Giovanni b 1853 in Picinisco


Giovanni married Filomena Marcantonio
They had the following children

Franceso Di Troia 1888 Paris
Rosae 1890 London
Adeline 1894 London
Elvira 1897 London
Maria 1900 London
Ersilia 1901 London

My line is from Franceso Di Troia.

Could you please confirm that Anonio and Gerado Di Troia were both born in Picinisco please?

Any more information would be greatfully received. I would love to know what was the occupation of the Di Troia family. If you manage to find a birth certificate for Franscesco in Paris please let me know how much money I need to send you.

They are all born in Picinisco except for Fortunato born in Atina.
The occupation of the DI TROIA were farm (Contandino).
They lived Via Porta Saracena (historical centre of Picinisco) they were neighbours of my family !

How exciting to learn that the Di Troia family were farmers in Picinisco and that they lived near the Porta Saracena. The fact they were neighbours of your family is amazing.

I assume the reason they left Picinisco was that they were unable to farm successfully and that due to wars, weather and land they were not able to make enough money.

If in your research you find any brothers and sisters of Antonio or Gerado I would love to have any more news. Any more information would be really great.
