Can anyone help me find the Surname to the Maria which Filippo Tartaglia married in Picinisco, around 1890?
Filippo was born in 1862, Picinisco and Maria abt 1869.

Filippo and Maria settled in Gloucestershire, UK. Where did Maria Teresa and her Family go?
I would still like to know Maria (filippo's wife) surname if any help please?

THese are my great grandparents - they emigrated to Scotland in the late 1800s - starting to track it all. They had 9 children in all, born all over the place - at least 2 in Italy (one before they emigrated I believe) the rest in Scotland and England. In the 1891 census they are living in Blairgowrie just after the birth of their second child, Pepina. By 1911 they are in Stirling with 7 of their children (eldest has left home; youngest died at or close to birth in 1906). My grandmother Christina was around 12 at the time. She married a DiStefano and my mother was born in 1928. I was born and brought up in Falkirk (where I met Marisa when we were very much younger!) and then moved down south. I now live in Worthing and have discovered that 3 of the DiFelice children (including little Alberto who didn't survive) were born here. Strange coincidences!
Now I'm looking to fill in some gaps and go back further in Picinisco. I've only ever visited once and never met any living relatives but I'm sure there are some there. My great aunts Josephine (Pepina), Margaret (Immacolata) and Angelina used to go back to stay with cousins in the 60s and 70s so we must still have some connection.
Happy hunting - I'll have to work out how removed we are as cousins!
